The Programme for Land and Agrarian Studies (PLAAS) at the University of the Western Cape, CPRC's South African partner, is commissioning research on various aspects of poverty in South Africa, and calling for proposals for working papers on chronic and structural poverty in relation to:
- Land reform, food security and agricultural policy
- Social protection and social policy
- Industrial and trade policy
- SMMEs, the informal sector and the 'second economy'
- Monetary and macroeconomic policy
